Published

As Muslims around the world begin the sacred month of Ramadan, Engr. Aderemi Oseni, the Chairman of the House Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) and representative for Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State, has called on Nigerians to embrace the core values of unity, compassion, and self-discipline that define this holy period.

In a message of goodwill to Muslim faithful, issued by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, and shared with journalists in Ibadan, Oseni emphasized the importance of using the fasting period for deep reflection, devotion to Allah, and performing acts of kindness towards the less privileged.

He highlighted that, in these challenging times, Nigeria needs the collective efforts and prayers of all its citizens to address its economic and security issues.

“Ramadan is a time for sacrifice, prayer, and charity,” Oseni said. “It is also an opportunity for us to renew our faith in God and to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood across ethnic and religious divides. While fasting and seeking divine blessings, let us also remember to support those in need and contribute to the peace and progress of our beloved nation.”

The lawmaker commended the resilience of Nigerians despite economic difficulties, reassuring his constituents of his continued commitment to policies that will improve their welfare.

He expressed confidence in the policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, stating that they are aimed at reducing the cost of living, improving security, and driving national development.

“As leaders, we must remain attuned to the challenges faced by our people. I am confident that the Tinubu-led government is restoring hope to Nigeria through its various policies,” Oseni said. “Ramadan teaches us the importance of selflessness, and I call on my colleagues in government to support policies that will alleviate the burdens on Nigerians. Governance must translate into real benefits for the people.”

Oseni further urged Muslim faithful to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the Ramadan period and to pray for the nation’s leadership, security agencies, and economic stability.

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a spiritually fulfilling Ramadan and calling for continued unity among Nigerians, regardless of their religious background, in the quest to build a stronger, more prosperous country.

Hon. Aderemi Oseni Pays Tribute to Late President Muhammadu Buhari and Awujale of Ijebuland

Published

With a heart full of grief, I, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, Representative of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, join millions of Nigerians in mourning the passing of two monumental pillars in our nation’s political and traditional leadership:

His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR – former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a statesman whose leadership left indelible marks on Nigeria’s democratic path, national infrastructure, and anti-corruption legacy. His courage and sense of duty to the nation inspired generations of public servants, including myself.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona – the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, one of Nigeria’s most respected and revered traditional rulers. A royal father known for his wisdom, integrity, and tireless advocacy for the progress of Ijebuland and Yoruba culture. His decades of reign stood as a testament to stability, cultural pride, and leadership rooted in humility.

Nigeria has lost two great icons whose legacies will remain etched in our national story. I extend my prayers for their families, loved ones, and the communities they so faithfully served, that the Almighty grants comfort, fortitude, and peace in this period of great loss.

May the souls of these dearly departed leaders rest in perfect peace. Amen.
