I am truly humbled and grateful to have been bestowed with the Fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE)—a recognition that represents a major milestone in my professional journey.

This esteemed title goes beyond a personal achievement; it serves as a call to greater responsibility in advancing engineering excellence for the progress of our beloved nation.

Engineering is the cornerstone of infrastructural development, and in my role as Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), I remain dedicated to applying my expertise and legislative duties to promote policies and initiatives that will improve Nigeria’s road infrastructure.

I sincerely thank God Almighty, the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) for this prestigious honor, and my colleagues, mentors, and well-wishers who have supported me throughout this journey. This recognition strengthens my commitment to continue contributing to the advancement of the engineering profession and national development.

To the younger generation of engineers, let this serve as a reminder that dedication, professionalism, and integrity open doors to greater success.

Conclusively, i will urge us to work hands in hands to achieve a more technologically advanced and prosperous Nigeria.

Tinubu’s Road Revolution Visible Nationwide, Opposition Blind to Progress — FERMA Chair, Oseni

Chairman of the House Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) and representative for Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Engineer Aderemi Oseni, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its steadfast commitment to infrastructural development, particularly in the area of road rehabilitation and reconstruction across Nigeria.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos on Thursday, Oseni characterized the president’s investment in the nation’s road networks as a strategic initiative aimed at transforming Nigeria’s transportation infrastructure and bolstering economic growth. Drawing from his extensive travels nationwide in his supervisory capacity at FERMA, he attested to the tangible progress achieved under the current administration.

“The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is laying a solid foundation for a redefined Nigeria poised to lead Africa’s future,” Oseni stated. “We have witnessed substantial rehabilitation and reconstruction of federal roads across both the northern and southern regions, including major projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, and the Ibadan-Ilesha-Akure-Benin Highway.”

He further noted that enhanced operational efficiency and increased budgetary allocations have empowered FERMA to effectively tackle Nigeria’s longstanding road infrastructure challenges. “These efforts underscore the administration’s firm belief that an efficient transportation system is the cornerstone of a thriving economy,” he added.

While acknowledging these achievements, Oseni expressed concern that opposition parties have overlooked the progress under President Tinubu’s government. He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant against forces that may seek to undermine these developments. Additionally, he announced the formation of the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF), a non-partisan and non-ethnic platform dedicated to rallying support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

According to Oseni, ROCOF currently boasts over 200,000 members across Oyo State, all committed to advancing good governance, justice, and sustainable development. “Our goal in the South-West region is to achieve a voter turnout of at least 75 percent and to ensure the APC secures no fewer than 10 million votes in the forthcoming presidential election,” he affirmed.

He also highlighted the critical importance of continuous voter registration and civic education, aiming to improve upon the 26.72 percent voter turnout recorded in the 2023 general elections. “Our journey toward 2027 is already underway, and we are resolute in changing the narrative by encouraging citizens to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and exercise their civic duties,” Oseni emphasized.

Regarding his political future, Oseni hinted at a potential governorship bid, stating, “I am considering succeeding Governor Seyi Makinde, should it be the will of Almighty God and my party, the APC. However, this is not a do-or-die situation; the governorship race will be approached with dialogue and strategic planning, and I will respect the party’s decision.”

Rep Oseni: We Are Lighting Up Ibarapa East/Ido

In line with my undying and unwavering dedication and commitment to improving electricity supply across our dear federal constituency, I am happy to update you on the progress of our flagship initiative — “Every Ward in Ido/Ibarapa East: A Functional Transformer.” This project is guided by the 3Rs model — Repairing, Renovating, and Replacing faulty transformers — while also exploring solar-powered alternatives to ensure long-term, sustainable energy solutions for our people.

Far beyond the provision and installation of new transformers in various communities, we have also successfully repaired several critical transformers, further expanding the reach of functional electricity in our constituency.

To the glory of God Almighty, two major repairs have recently been completed in the Ibarapa East Local Government Area — specifically at the Ibarapa East Local Government Secretariat and the General Hospital, Sango, Eruwa.

The repaired transformer at the Secretariat now provides electricity to the council secretariat, the INEC office, African Primary School, and nearby areas. Likewise, the restored transformer at the General Hospital now powers the hospital, the Eruwa Abattoir, and adjoining communities.

This is a clear demonstration of our results-oriented approach — not just promises, but visible, functional change. We remain committed to powering every ward and touching every life across Ido/Ibarapa East.

With your continued support and the help of Almighty God, the good work continues and will not stop.
