Eng Aderemi Oseni, a member of the House of Representatives, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late elder statesman and political icon, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo, describing his passing as the end of an era in Oyo State politics.

Representing the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, the lawmaker celebrated Adeojo’s lifelong dedication to the advancement of democracy and community development, both within Oyo State and beyond.

In a statement released through his media aides, on Friday in Ibadan, Oseni, who also chairs the House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), expressed deep sorrow at the loss of the former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He noted that Adeojo’s legacy of selfless service, mentorship, and unwavering patriotism would continue to inspire future generations of political leaders in the region.

“Alhaji Yekini Adeojo was not just a political leader; he was a symbol of courage and loyalty to the greater good of Oyo State. His contributions to the socio-political development of our state, particularly during the formative years of the Fourth Republic, will remain indelible,” Oseni stated.

The lawmaker emphasized that Adeojo was always a wellspring of wisdom, offering guidance to younger politicians regardless of their party affiliation.

“He was a mentor to many, always willing to offer a helping hand. His doors were always open, and he believed in giving others a sense of belonging. We have truly lost a father figure,” Oseni added.

The APC chieftain, who shares the same Ido Local Government Area as the late Adeojo, extended his condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, the Ibadan community, and the broader political circle in Oyo State. He urged them to find comfort in the enduring legacy left behind by the late statesman.

Engr. Oseni prayed for the peaceful repose of Adeojo’s soul and for the family to find the strength to bear this profound loss.
